JMZM will be held online (using ZOOM) this year.

本年度はZOOMを使ってオンラインで開催いたします。

This year's meeting was originally scheduled for early September at Chiba University, but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we continued to consider to have a face-to-face meeting until recently. Then we decided to cancel the on-site meeting scheduled in September, but it was still difficult to decide whether to postpone the meeting for one year or to hold it online. After discussion among the organizing committee members and others, we concluded that it would be better to hold it online and provide an opportunity for students and researchers in the small fish community to present their data and interact with each other. The conference will be held on the 20th and 21st of November. We are fortunate to have invited speakers from abroad to participate online in the conference. It may not be comparable to the previous small-fish conferences, but we hope it will be a meaningful meeting for students, young and senior scientists of all levels. We are planning to organize an online banquet and other events, and hope you will join us.

本年度は、当初9月初旬の日程で千葉大学で開催予定であり、新型コロナウイルス感染症拡大の状況を受けて対面形式での開催を直前まで検討し続けてきました。その後、9月開催では対面形式が困難だと判断しましたが、１年延期するかあるいは、オンライン開催するかなど、対応は難しい状況でした。本大会の実行委員メンバーで話し合った結果、延期するよりはオンラインで開催し、小型魚類を扱うコミュニティーに属する学生・研究者の発表・交流の機会を提供することが小型魚類研究会大会の役割ではないか、という結論になりました。開催は、予定より遅くなりましたが11月20日、21日の2日間といたします。オンライン会議は我々にとってももちろん初めての試みですが、幸いにも海外からの招待講演者も参加してくださる予定です。これまでの小型魚類学会とは比較にならないかもしれませんが、学生、若手、シニアあらゆる層の研究者にとって有意義な大会になることを願っています。千葉のおいしい食事を、、というわけには行きませんが、オンライン懇親会なども企画していますので、積極的なご参加をお待ちしています。 本大会の詳細につきましては、今後当大会ホームページやメールにてお知らせしますので、引き続きどうぞ宜しくお願い致します。
